On the Prowl for the best longboard
It has been 2 months now and I'm still looking for the perfect longboard. It is a fact that these items are on the pricey side of the consumer market. It is also an investment. Better buy something of quality than to suffer of injuries and wasted storage space in the house.
So what am I looking for then? A light longboard thats great for cruising, bombing and possibly downhill. I've seen a few decks and most of them are of the same price range, so it really up to me to choose which one will take the mantle.
To start off, there's Original Skateboards. The new Apex 37, perfect for everything. But it still looks great just by seeing it and holding it. It's light, the design is amazing, and you can do a lot of tricks on it. Another one from the brand is the Pintail 43 or 46. Stability-wise it's best for downhills and cruising and bombing hills, but it is on the heavier side of things. Can't really do that much tricks on it.
Then there's Loaded Longboards, Split between the Tan Tien and the Dervish, or even the Bhangra (but this one looks all too heavy for me). The price range for Loaded is much more appealing but I'm still at odds with myself.
Taking a short trip to a Billabong shop, I'm presented with Sector 9 skateboards. my eyes are always caught my the D.P Carbonite and the Bert compeletes. Unlike the other board shops that that can only take cash, I can just swipe it off using my plastic money to purchase on the spot.
If you were me, which one will you choose?
